Not just a sport, but a lifestyle. Skateboarding is synonymous with off the wall attitude, rebelliousness and youthful energy. As a subculture it has for decades inspired fashion, music and popular culture.

Boarders is a character focused film digging deep into the journeys of a group of British skateboarders who are vying for a spot to represent their country at the pivotal arena of elite sportsmanship, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where skateboarding will make its debut as competition sport.

This event is only available to selected members for 48 hours from 23rd to 25 August from 7pm by using an exclusive code. Note: if you redeem your code, the film will be accessible from 7pm on the 23rd August.

Doc Nights: Boarders Film + Q&A also includes an exclusive Q&A with director Annika Ranin plus skateboarders Jordan Thackeray and Sam Becket hosted by presenter Marc Churchill.

What we love about this film

We love Boarders for its tenacity and determination to keep doing what you love despite hardships and challenges. The film has such a genuine community ethos embedded throughout as you watch the journey from the beginning to now, and nostalgically presented archive footage and cinematography.
